Get to know your board bag
Features and Specs
Following a ‘own less, surf more’ approach, all Half Island board bags have a roll-up bottom meaning that one bag will fit several size boards. The looser fit of the canvas bags means they slip on and off quite easily, and the excess fabric on the side can be used to lift or carry the board. If you’re struggling to decide which shape and length you should go for, check out the Size Guide. You can choose to add a single fin slit to any bag, which will allow you to keep a big centre fin on the board when it’s in the bag.
Materials and Sustainability
All bags are made to order by me in County Clare, Ireland. This means less waste and knowing where your bags came from. I do my best to use materials that are gentler on the planet. The bags are made from durable, organic cotton canvas lined with a soft, organic cotton fabric. All fabrics are GOTS certified, meaning that the cotton was grown organically, and then spun, woven and dyed to high social and environmental standards. The webbing and buckles are made from recycled plastic from plastic waste, fishing nets, carpets and clothes.
Care Instructions
All Half Island bags can be machine washed at 30°C. Just no tumble dryer please. Make sure to air-dry your bags regularly to avoid musty smells and mildew.
