surfboard bags | surf accessories
every surfboard bag is made by me using organic cotton fabrics and recycled plastic. their design is inspired by the western Irish coastline - the colours, the weather, and the surfers. explore collections, find out more, or get in touch below.
two-tone
the colours of the canvas fabric take inspiration from my local coastline: the golden brown and deep blue of underwater kelp forests and the light blue of a wave crashing on grey rock. board bags are available in three different shapes and between 6ft and 11ft long.

about
half island is the direct translation of the Irish language origin of Lahinch in County Clare. it describes a place that is defined by its relation to water. my aim for half island is to make beautiful but practical surf accessories that reflect a love for surfing and a love for this place.
when designing the bags I set out to make something that lasts and make it from materials that have as little environmental impact as possible. other than aiming to produce a high-quality product in the first place, I offer returns, repairs, and replacements for all bags.
the bags are made from durable, organic cotton canvas lined with a soft, organic cotton fabric. all fabrics are GOTS certified, meaning that the cotton was grown organically, and then spun, woven and dyed to high social and environmental standards. the webbing and buckles are made from recycled plastic from plastic waste, fishing nets, carpets and clothes.
